This video shows how Godfrey Roofing Inc. used 20 bags of soil media (each bag weighing over 2900lbs!) and distributed it on to the green roof area at Ashbury College by a 210-ton crane. This green roof project will become one of the first outdoor classrooms in Canada.
A total of 58 399lbs of media was raised to the green roof area over 150 feet away from the base of the 210-ton crane. Every bag was carefully guided by a string of employees using proper crane signaling. Each bag was dispersed into the appropriate green roof quadrant and evenly spread the following day.
